The primary purpose of the Tierrasanta Titans Youth Lacrosse Club is to teach the players the fundamentals and strategies of the game. Teams are differentiated by the overall ability of the players and the level of contact allowed. The D1 team is comprised of 7th and 8th grade players, with A and B levels for skilled and learning players.  The D1A team will be very competitive, showing middle school players the speed of a high school game while still allowing the protection and lower contact of youth lacrosse. The D3 teams (6th grade and below) are meant for beginning players that want to develop their skills in a more protected environment. At this level learning how to play the game is way more important than the score at the end of the game. Each player regardless of skill will play in every game as long as they participate in practices and show the willingness to learn.
